A better portrait photo checklist

Lighting, cropping, file size and permission before you upload.

One person per photo

Keep the face unobstructed. Avoid sunglasses, masks, heavy motion blur and extreme side angles. A busy background can confuse identity and motion.

Use a usable file

Upload JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 10 MB, with both dimensions at least 300 pixels. The server checks the actual file format and dimensions.

Respect likeness rights

Only upload your own portrait or a person who gave permission. Do not impersonate people, depict minors in adult dance effects or fabricate endorsements.
